(Rafael) Danendra Garuda Wisda is a documentary editor, visual researcher, and media practitioner working across documentary film, editorial media, and research-led visual storytelling. His work spans documentary editing, field production, and visual research, with projects focusing on culture, environment, community initiatives, and social change across Indonesia.
Alongside his filmmaking practice, he examines ritual, tourism, cultural memory, and the politics of representation, exploring how images shape cultural meaning, collective imagination, and contemporary narratives of heritage and identity. His editorial approach is informed by sustained engagement with local communities and cultural landscapes, bringing together ethnographic sensitivity with cinematic storytelling.
